The Team Welcome Ceremony (TWC) and flag raising of the Malaysian flag was held on 17 October 2008 at 3.00 p.m. The location was at the Lumintang Field, Denpasar, Bali.
The flag raising ceremony took approximately 20 minutes and the Malaysian national anthem (Negara Ku) was played.There was a welcome speech by a representative of BABGOG and also a speech by the Chef de Mission.
CDM, Datuk Seri Dr Ibrahim Saad received a souvenir given by a representative of BABGOG.
